NYSERDA seeks input from market participants across varying sectors regarding the planning, deployment, operation, and maintenance of Direct Current Fast Charging Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (DCFC EVSE) in New York. RFI 5766 will help NYSERDA gain information about the challenges that various market participants face and ultimately will help inform NYSERDA’s drafting of forthcoming solicitations for DCFC implementation. This RFI seeks to learn more about the planning, deployment, operation, and maintenance of DCFC EVSE in New York from market participants.
The programs that will be informed by this solicitation, including NYSERDA’s Charging and Fueling Infrastructure (CFI) grant implementation, are intended to reduce the cost of purchasing and installing DCFC EVSE for use in New York State and ultimately accelerate EV adoption. By increasing the use of EVs and EV chargers, this program benefits New York State by reducing harmful emissions and the transportation sector’s dependence on petroleum.
